This high-end residence is the latest in a dazzling portfolio of projects from Cheshire’s premier AV experts - Definteco Technical Management (DTM)

Media presence and the way we use it has changed dramatically in recent years. We are more aware than ever of the impact technology has on our lives and the importance of maintaining balance. Mike Gibbons of DTM says “We see an increase in the demand for top quality audiovisual equipment in residential settings - but without affecting the aesthetics of the client’s home.” With a background in the super-yacht industry, Mike and his team have delivered exceptional AV installations for some of the most luxurious vessels on the planet.

This generously proportioned property, in a highly sought after location in the south of Warrington, had an existing AV system dating back ten years. Once a high-end system, it was beginning to fail, suffering from compatibility issues with today’s technology and relying on basic and outdated distribution systems. The DTM team initially set up a fully managed data network with enterprise-class Wi-Fi.

“Instantly, this improved the family’s experience with fast, reliable Wi-Fi to the entire property, where the previous set up had failed.” Said Mike, “We then upgraded the audio and video distribution system to offer 4K resolution capability throughout, servicing eight fully 4K capable video zones (including the indoor pool area) and five dedicated audio zones.” Sky Q was selected to provide 4K satellite TV reception.

Clean lines and modern chic belie the complex matrix of cables and racking, meticulously installed behind the scenes to ensure flawless operating, working alongside the interior design team for this stunning home, ensuring that the sumptuous interior was not compromised.

The incredible specification for the project includes sleek touchscreen remote controls to provide an intuitive user interface in all rooms and iPad control in the pool area. The property benefits from existing Lutron lighting which Mike and the team integrated into the new operating system, which was brought fully up to date, to ensure ease of use and reliability.
