We chat with Joanna Scott-Aspray, Managing Director of Cheshire Socialites.
How would you describe yourself?
A double shot of nice, a slice of genuine with a dash of ambition and flair. All finished off with a fun and happy garnish.
Where is home? And work?
I'm a Cheshire girl through and through ... born in Knutsford and now live in Wilmslow. Home is work and work is home.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
A Hollywood actress which is a little ironic, as I feel Im the star of my own production now!
Name a few of your favourite places to be?
I'm a real culture vulture and I love museums and amazing buildings. But, I also enjoy anywhere exotic so theres a vast difference in my favourite destinations.
I love to relax in The Maldives and also really enjoy a cultural city like Barcelona. Though my most honest answer would be anywhere as long as I was with my best friend and daughter, Frankii, thats when Im at my happiest. We really love a visit to The Edge at Alderley Edge.
What/who inspires you?
Strong, independent women inspire me. Women that stand together and support each other. I have a lot around me and so I’m truly blessed.
What was the last gift you gave someone?
A wine glass, personalised with ‘hello beautiful’, for a good friend.
Tell us a secret/fun fact about yourself
I have quite a few! Many years ago, I was asked to be a Marilyn Monroe lookalike for a north west agency. Also, my first events job involved touring up and down the UK with Gladiators. And did I mention… I’m a trained wig maker?
What's been your biggest life lesson?
Don’t put your life on hold for others. Always believe in yourself and go after your dreams and aspirations. I’m now finally living mine.
